How it all began
Pittsford Puppies began in 2015 with one English Bulldog named Bella. The motivation was simple: to build a better life for the family — something that could provide opportunities and stability for the people we love.
At the time, there was a lot to learn. Responsible breeding meant understanding husbandry, genetics, health testing, OFA and AKC standards, and the responsibility of bringing new lives into the world. But the willingness to learn turned into a commitment to do better — not just for the family, but for the dogs too.
Loving our dogs is not enough if you are not willing to keep learning and improving. Responsible breeding means asking the hard questions, doing the testing, understanding pedigrees, and being willing to change when you learn something new. What started as a dream to build a life for the family became a journey of education, growth, and responsibility.
Bella was the beginning. Learning gave the direction. And the promise to do better continues to guide everything we have built at Pittsford Puppies.
“We never ship a puppy we wouldn't keep ourselves.”
